ABOUT QG
Queens Garden was born during my undergraduate studies at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. It began with my passion for makeup, I initially practiced on myself in my dorm room. As my friends began to request my makeup services, I started posting my work online and soon found myself consistently booked.

My journey took a creative turn when I crafted an outfit for a friend’s cowgirl-themed birthday party, igniting a love for design that led me to offer alterations and custom clothing services. In my pursuit of expanding my offerings, I attended an eyebrow waxing class, motivated by a desire to enhance the makeup experience for my clients. It was during this class that my instructor introduced me to the licensure requirements, prompting my decision to enroll in esthetician school. What started as an interest in waxing quickly blossomed into a passion for facials, enriching my skill set.

Every service I provide is an opportunity to share my joy with each client. I find fulfillment in planting seeds of healing through our interactions. With a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, I cherish the therapeutic nature of my conversations with clients—both old and new. I am currently pursuing a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Barry University. I believe in the transformative power of knowledge and strive to equip my clients with the best tools for both their beauty and mental well-being.

Originally an acronym for Queen Gabby, the name Queens Garden was inspired by a moment of creativity when my friend Eric looked at a portrait I created, adorned with “QG,” and exclaimed, “Queens Garden!” This name has since become a defining element of my brand, embodying the essence of what I aim to create.

Education Overview
Upon graduating from William H. Turner Technical Arts High School, I became a Certified Nursing Assistant, CPR certified, First Aid trained, and completed a Licensed Practical Nurse program. However, after my acceptance into Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University, I realized nursing wasn’t my true calling. I shifted my major to Biology with a pre-medicine focus, believing my passion for working with children and my healthcare background would lead me to pediatrics. Yet, I found myself unfulfilled, and my first semester grades were a wake-up call. In my search for a field that aligned with both my passion and intellect, I discovered Psychology, which felt like home. It illuminated how trauma can isolate individuals from their emotions and delay the healing process.

After many restless nights and two major changes, I proudly graduated from FAMU in three years with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. My journey deepened my commitment to inspire youth to pursue their goals, no matter how many changes they face along the way.

In 2022, my faith was tested, and through each challenge, God revealed new facets of my identity. I learned to separate my emotions from reality, allowing me to understand what God was showing me. As I encouraged others and planted seeds of faith, I felt called to become a Christian counselor.

While initially pursuing a dual degree at Mercer, balancing full-time work and two master’s programs became overwhelming, leading me to step away from theology. However, I realized that ministry isn’t confined to the pulpit; it exists in every space we inhabit. My purpose is to lead others to Christ, helping them discover and walk in their God-given purpose.

Now at Barry University, I am pursuing a master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My mission is to reduce the stigma around mental health in Haitian and underserved communities by providing accessible, evidence-based counseling and resources. As a first-generation Haitian-American, I’ve worked to educate my family about the importance of mental health, pushing against cultural taboos that dismiss therapy. My goal is to foster change and ensure no one suffers in silence, particularly within a community that has long lacked access to mental health support.
